Zur laminatuzko uztai bat du, aldeetako batean ahuntz larruzko mintzaz estalia. Mintz hau tatxeten bidez larruzko tira bati eta uztaiari lotua dago; larruaren ertza ezkutatzen da horrela. Uztaiak barrualdean zurezko makila bat du trabeska, mintzaren tentsioak forma zirkularra deformatzea saihesteko; jotzailea zutik dagoenean, soinu-tresnari eusteko ere balio du listoi honek. Adabakian inprimatutako diseinuak sinbolismo zeltari keinu egiten dio, eta animalia gisako formak eta korapilo elkartuak ditu. Bodhran hau jotzeko bi muturretan buru biribila duen makila simetrikoa daukagu (tipper).
